Plantify garden design templates help you transform your outdoor space into a stunning outdoor oasis. Designed for both beginners and seasoned gardeners, this innovative template eliminates the guesswork from planting. Simply place the biodegradable paper onto your prepared garden bed, follow the printed design, and plant exactly where indicated. The paper not only guides your planting but also acts as a natural weed barrier as it gradually decomposes, leaving behind a thriving, well-arranged garden.

Choose the style of the garden design you like, then determine how much sunlight your garden will receive during the day. Sunny designs include plants that need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Shady designs include plants that need less than 6 hours of sunlight, but at least a few hours of direct sunlight or dappled light.

Next determine which width and length template you will need. Our regular templates are 4 feet wide. The narrow templates are 2 feet wide. The templates come in various lengths to fit variety of gardens.

When purchasing a Plantify design, you will receive a biodegradable paper template to place on your garden bed, a list of plants to shop for and alternative options, planting instructions and a care guide.

Planting is generally recommended after the last frost and before the first frost. Avoid planting during really hot days and try to choose a day when it’s cloudy or before rain.

We recommend adding compost and premium soil to your garden bed to improve structure, add nutrients and promote healthy plant growth. You can add mulch on top of the template to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

You can use our included plant list to shop at your local nursery or choose from one of our recommended online partners who ship directly to your door.

Our templates are available in standard widths of 2 or 4 feet and lengths of 5, 10, 15, or 20 feet. If your garden bed falls in between sizes:

• Choose the closest width (2 ft or 4 ft). If you’re in between, go with the 2 feet wide template.
• For lengths, decide whether you’d prefer to:
• Trim back a few plants (with a longer template), or
• Leave some extra space around the edges for adding your own touch—small annuals are great fillers!

Absolutely. The template is printed on flexible, biodegradable paper that you can trim or reposition to fit curved beds, tighter spaces, or to work around existing plants.

Yes! The biodegradable paper acts as a natural weed barrier, reducing weed growth while allowing air and water to reach your plants. It decomposes naturally in the soil helping retain moisture and keep the soil warm.

Most of our templates are tailored for Zones 4–7, which includes much of the Midwest and Northern U.S. Check each product for specific zone info.

If you're not satisfied with our products, we offer limited refunds within 30 days of delivery. To initiate a refund, you must contact our customer support at hello@plantifydesigns.com. Refund requests must be approved by us and are subject to our discretion. 

Refunds will not be granted for: 

• Products damaged after delivery due to misuse;
• Requests made after 30 days;
• Use of the template for unauthorized commercial purposes.
